The Role



We are looking to grow our team of technicians at our Cardiff office in anticipation of exciting business growth. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, a thorough understanding of current UK building regulations, and exceptional technical expertise. You will work alongside our established team to produce detailed design and technical documentation using Revit and AutoCAD. The duties and responsibilities of this role are to:

Produce drawings and documentation as required using Revit and AutoCAD, independently and in collaboration with our technical team and the wider design team. Be responsible for the preparation and coordination of detailed design and production information including drawings and documents for tender packages and construction drawings. Produce specifications using NBS software and advise on use of materials and construction detailing. Monitor quality and coordination of drawing information ensuring project delivery in line with programme. Ensure compliance with office quality standards. Be responsible for the management of the project including health & safety and building legislation requirements along with day-to-day administration of the projects. Contribute to the design and construction process. Assist with site surveys when required. Attend client meetings as required. Attend design team meetings as required. Follow company procedures including quality management, environmental management systems and health & safety. Manage time effectively and identify any resource requirements.

Requirements



The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

Strong communication skills. Excellent technical and detailing skills. Strong people management and leadership skills Ability to deliver work outputs within set time frames and commercial goals. Experience of attending site visits and design team meetings. Commitment, enthusiasm and a strong work ethic. Minimum 5 years experience as an Architectural Technician/Technologist. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to commute to Cardiff.
