We have recently secured several exciting new projects, and we are looking to grow our team. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Senior Technologist who can lead projects through planning and working drawing stages. Trusted with organizing and mentoring internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Role:
Typically, you will run several projects simultaneously. You will be trusted with organising and mentoring the team to deliver planning and working drawing packages. You will be predominantly client and contractor-facing and will assist in programming the team's workload.
A large part of the role will be taking the lead on project designs and drawing, and leading Planning Submissions and Building Regulation submissions. Undertake measured site surveys of domestic or commercial properties as required.
Experience:
Must have at least 4 years' experience producing planning and working drawing packages.
AutoCAD fluency is a must.

Be able to work collaboratively within a team, building strong rapport, creating positive and lasting relationships, and providing project leadership.
Have excellent interpersonal skills to include understanding of sensitivities when communicating with and presenting to clients.
Have excellent verbal and visual presentation skills and the ability to explain a design idea and the evolution of a concept.
Demonstrate an excellent understanding and experience of empowering and motivating a team.
Take responsibility for staff progression, providing feedback and encouragement through formal 'personal development reviews' alongside the MD.
Be committed to researching and maintaining knowledge of the discipline, to ensure continued professional development and experience is always driven forward.
Have the ability to effectively brief and delegate packages of work, empowering junior members of the team.
Can interrogate information from sub-contractors and sub-contractors and sub consultants, with an awareness of coordination issues, or design items that could impact on legislative compliance.
Project Skills:
Show ability to manage and deliver several small /medium-scale projects simultaneously through the planning and technical stages of a project, with guidance and support from the studio MD.
Have a very good understanding and experience of a variety of construction methods.
Have a very good knowledge base and experience of product specification and selection for a variety of project locations and types.
Have a comprehensive knowledge of past, current, and future legislation.
Have an eye for design quality and be able to deliver design solutions in line with the company's vision for the highest quality design.
Have excellent knowledge of legislative guidance documentation and client requirements when working through drawing packages.
Assist with the formation of fee proposals for new projects and variations for current projects. Show experience in managing the implications of design on health and safety.
Monitor quality control and coordination of drawing information, ensuring project delivery is in line with the programme.
Have a very good knowledge of contractual / procurement options.
