Candidates will need 5 years minimum experience in property asset management preferably in the rail sector Candidates should be a minimum Incorporated Engineer. Ideally Chartered Engineer (Civil/Structural/M&E/Building Services) or Building Surveyor (MCIOB) Candidates will be subject to a Right to Work check & DBS check for this position

About the Role




We are seeking a dedicated Senior Asset Manager to ensure the safe and compliant management of station assets across Greater Anglia. The successful candidate will support the development and maintenance of asset management systems, oversee asset policies, and coordinate maintenance, renewal, and enhancement activities. This role requires a proactive approach to asset stewardship, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with standards such as ISO 55001.


Key Responsibilities:




Support the development and maintenance of asset management policies, systems, and Integrated Station Plans (ISP) to ensure regulatory and business targets are met. Prepare detailed work remits for maintenance, renewal, and enhancement activities, coordinating with internal teams, Network Rail, and third parties. Lead asset stewardship, inspections, and compliance checks for operational property assets, ensuring quality and adherence to standards such as ISO 55001. Manage stakeholder engagement, representing asset management policies at meetings, and supporting the Landlord's consent process for third-party schemes. Monitor asset condition, failure trends, and inspection outcomes; recommend preventative actions and support safety and audit activities. Oversee asset data updates, acceptance criteria, and scheme completion records, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance across asset portfolios

Candidates should be friendly, approachable communicator with a positive attitude, team spirit, and ability to foster a collaborative, positive work environment. Calm under pressure, adaptable, and solutions-oriented, with effective problem-solving skills and integrity in handling diverse situations. Extensive knowledge of station maintenance, strategic asset management, safety management systems, risk assessment, and technical standards. Proven experience supporting engineering activities, managing business plans, and acting as project sponsor within the transport industry. Effective analytical skills with the ability to structure ideas, manage complexity and interdependencies, and perform effectively under high pressure. Flexible, resilient, and deadline-driven, capable of handling uncertainty, setbacks, and tight schedules while maintaining focus on objectives.
