Job Description

Financial Management department is in charge of planning, organizing, directing and controlling the financial activities of the bank. The department performs a variety of financial functions, including accounting and financial reporting, fix asset and expenses management, budget and management reporting, taxation (indirect and direct), regulatory reporting and treasury (asset and liability management). As a Senior Associate Management Reporting - Mandarin Speaking, you will be responsible for the preparation and submission of various Management Information (MI) reports to Financial Management department, other departments in the Bank, the Management Team and the Board for the Bank's London Branch and UK subsidiary. You will be responsible to provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation of periodic MI reports including the monthly board packs, profit by client, expense related reports
  • Expense budget management and cost control including project budget monitoring and control
  • Ensure accurate reports to Head Office, including monthly financial analysis reports and expense reports
  • Prepare various internal financial analysis reports such as Swap analysis, NII and Nim analysis by department, and departmental business expense analysis report for Senior Management
  • Ensure continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls through critical assessments of existing workflows. Engaging with senior stakeholders to successfully drive and implement procedural changes via effective communication
  • Build effective working relationships with the wider Bank as well as within the team, including mentoring junior staff members
  • Resolve queries from other departments and teams
  • Support the department to improve policies and procedures
  • Assist with the development of financial control functionality to meet the Management's needs
  • Take ownership on daily and ad-hoc tasks
Requirements
  • Degree educated in Finance or Accounting
  • Qualified/partly Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Demonstrated experience within Financial Services industry
  • Demonstrated experience in Management Accounting
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly in the use of Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
