We are looking to add a senior lawyer to our ECVC team, at Senior Associate or Principal Associate level, and are keen to speak with candidates with considerable experience in venture capital transactions. Experience on other corporate transactions will also be beneficial. You will be expected to take the lead on some transactions as well as working alongside a Partner as part of a local or national team on larger or more complex deals. Mentoring and developing junior associates will also be a vital part of your role.

The team
Shoosmiths' Emerging Companies and Venture Capital(ECVC) team, which is consistently ranked as one of the UK's most active practices for venture capital deal volume by Pitchbook, is led by a team of partners widely regarded as leaders in their field who are regularly recommended by clients for their reputation, personalities and outstanding expertise. Our ECVC team forms part of our awarding winning national corporate team, and is one of our core practice areas alongside private equity, M&A and equity capital markets.
Acting for a variety of national and international clients, the ECVC team advises companies, founders and investors throughout the business life cycle, from start-up and on multiple financing rounds, through to exit. Our clients are often at the cutting edge of new technologies and require our support as they scale and grow in a fast-paced environment.
