About the Role



The team is currently seeking a Senior Associate (or Chartered Legal Executive) to join the specialist Private Wealth Team based in Richmond.

The Private Wealth Team works predominantly with high-net-worth individuals (typically 5m-20m in personal assets) across the full spectrum of private client matters. This includes preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, lifetime and succession planning, IHT and CGT planning, estate administration, and the creation, administration, and winding up of trusts.




Role Overview



As a Senior Associate, you will manage your own caseload of mixed Private Wealth matters, establishing yourself as a trusted expert while developing strong client relationships. Senior Associates also play a vital role in supervising and developing less-experienced team members, including Associates, Solicitors, and trainees.

Key Responsibilities





Manage a caseload of Private Wealth/private client matters including Wills, LPAs, succession planning, IHT/CGT planning, estate administration, and trusts
Build long-term client relationships and establish yourself as a trusted advisor
Supervise and develop junior team members (Associates, Solicitors, trainees)
Participate in marketing and business development activities
Handle sensitive client communications, particularly during difficult periods such as bereavement

Essential Skills & Experience





Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with Private Wealth/Private Client experience
Ideally 7+ years managing your own caseload of private client matters
Currently at Senior Associate level or ready to step into this level
Experience or strong interest in marketing/business development
Confident communication with diverse clients, including during bereavement
Passion for helping clients achieve goals with creative problem-solving
Team-focused mindset with empathy and expertise
