Our Real Estate Disputes team are seeking a new Senior Associate hire into our London office.
Responsibilities:

The Real Estate Disputes team deliver a high-quality legal service. The primary focus of the role will be on residential property issues with a focus on issues arising from the Building Safety Act 2022.

You will enjoy a challenging and varied caseload as well as excellent professional development opportunities. The team is assisted by outstanding knowledge lawyers and dedicated support staff.



The department acts for a broad range of clients including;Commercial landlords and some tenants. Investors. Developers. Ground rent and other residential landlords. Social Housing organisations. Private individuals.


The firm operates a hybrid agile working policy. We expect 3 days per week in the office.
Essential & Desirable Criteria:
Experience of a range of residential matters is sought including; + Building safety issues: + - Working knowledge of issues relating to the Principal Accountable Person and Part 4 of the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Dealing with service charge challenges and advice based on Part 5 & Schedule 8 of the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Remediation Contribution Orders and Remediation Orders.
- Advising on Enforcement Notices issued by Local Authorities.
- Queries relating to Government grant funding schemes for external wall remediation.
+ Non building safety related service charge matters including s.27A applications, s.20 consultation, breach of covenant and related Tribunal proceedings.
+ Enforcement of easements and restrictive covenants.
+ Transactional support work.
