The Role:
In your pivotal role at Thrive Law, you will become an integral member of our dynamic growing team, engaging in both contentious and non-contentious legal matters, predominantly focusing on litigation in an employment context. This diverse work spectrum spans advisory HR services and Employment Tribunal representation for both claimants and respondents. Directly reporting to our Managing Partner, Jodie Hill, you'll gain invaluable insights from senior partners and also mentor less experienced team members, fostering a culture of learning and leadership within our firm.
This position is ideally suited to someone with over 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). However, we are open to considering candidates who can showcase the requisite skills and experience for the role. Our varied client base includes SMEs, national corporations, charitable organisations, educational institutions, company directors, high-net-worth individuals, employees, and union members, many of which openly disclose disabilities necessitating effective communication across all client levels.
Given Thrive Law's commitment to mental health, wellbeing, neurodiversity, and a robust focus on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I), an understanding of mental health issues and disability discrimination and all areas of discrimination is crucial. You'll be expected to be well-versed in proactive ED&I strategies and initiatives. Additionally, your role will extend to active engagement in the firm's marketing endeavours (including social media), content creation for articles, public relations efforts, business development activities, and leveraging social media and networking platforms to enhance our brand presence and outreach as well as developing your own personal brand.
What do we require from our people?
First and foremost, alignment with Thrive Law's values and a commitment to exemplary workplace culture. We are not like most law firms and that is no accident!
The desire to significantly impact clients, colleagues, and the legal profession.
Awareness of mental health issues in the employment lifecycle and a commitment to creating inclusive, barrier-free workplaces.
First class client service levels.
Flexibility. Whilst remote and flexible working is offered and encouraged, you will be expected to attend our Head Office in Leeds on occasion, especially for key meetings and events.
If you are not passionate about the values on which Thrive was founded, this is not the firm for you.
What's desirable?
Experience in Business Development, Marketing, and Compliance.
Knowledge in advising clients within specific sectors like education, charity, retail, or health & well-being.
An existing client base is advantageous.
What do our clients say?
"Thrive's positive and welcoming culture is infectious and I'm proud to be working with them."
