Senior Associate Solicitor

(5+ years PQE) with excellent technical and interpersonal skills to work in a growing and dynamic team.



The ideal candidate will be within commutable distance to our London office, as weekly attendance is required for this role, on a hybrid basis.



This role represents an exceptional opportunity to join an exciting team during a time of growth and get exposure to a wide range of complex insurance claims, both international and domestic.



The work is diverse, involving claims across a range of insurance/reinsurance policy types, including

Specialty, Political Risk, Trade Credit, Energy, Warranty & Indemnity, Cyber and property/BI

.



The work includes advising on all stages of the claims cycle from advising on policy coverage to litigating or arbitrating disputes and pursuing subrogated recoveries. Our work spans numerous jurisdictions, and our team is an important part of our global network.

Responsibilities:
Exhibit a high level of technical expertise and an ability to apply it in a commercial and professional way, achieving positive results on large and complex cases. Achieve individual financial targets in line with our team plan. Understand client requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice. Analyse risk and further develop sound judgement enabling the justification of decisions to clients internally and externally. Prioritise work effectively and to maximise efficiency in working practices. Apply your role in the context of the practice group and pro-actively seek to contribute to increased efficiency in developing a case load appropriate to the required level of technical and legal knowledge. Build working relationships internally and externally in order to develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the Firm's direction and client needs - playing a pro-active role in business development including writing articles, delivering presentations and facilitating seminars. Develop increased levels of technical and commercial knowledge via training or supervised working practices.
