2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.




We are seeking a dedicated Senior Associate EME Technician to join our Equipment Management & Engineering (EME) team. This vital role involves the whole-life management of medical equipment, providing critical support to the Medical Equipment Libraries (MELs) across the Trust. As part of a collaborative team, you will ensure medical devices are safe, reliable, and operational, adhering to safety standards and regulatory guidelines, including the MHRA, Care Quality Commission, and the company's policies.


You will work closely with clinical staff, engineers, and manufacturers to maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and ensure the safe functioning of diagnostic, therapeutic, and point-of-care testing equipment.


About the role:

Provide technical support for the application, calibration, troubleshooting, and quality control of a range of medical equipment. Conduct inspections, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of medical devices in compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Perform acceptance testing, safety checks, and performance evaluations on medical equipment. Diagnose and resolve faults in medical devices, ensuring minimal disruption to patient treatment schedules. Support clinical staff in understanding and resolving issues with medical equipment, offering advice on usage and maintenance. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure preventative maintenance and quick troubleshooting to maintain equipment performance. Organise and prioritize tasks independently, particularly when working in patients' homes. Propose improvements to departmental procedures and practices to enhance the service provided. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of work, including service records and equipment details. Support the Medical Equipment Library services by handling device collections, deliveries, and cleaning. Participate in the MEL weekend and bank holiday rota to ensure continuous support across the Trust. Provide first-line maintenance for medical equipment, including Mammography vans and other community-based services.
