Job Description


This role reports to the Third Party Risk Officer (TPRO) Team Lead in the 1LoD Third Party Risk Management function. The role is new to LSEG and forms part of the continued transformation of the group\'s risk management strategy.

The successful candidate will form part of a small team of TPROs that will be aligned to the three divisions (Capital Markets, Post Trade, Data & Analytics ) and nine functions (e.g. Technology, Operations, Risk, HR) of the Group. Working with the senior management (COO/CRO) and key partners within the division/function, TPROs will support the business to provide oversight and management of third party portfolio of risks, whilst meeting internal policy and external regulatory requirements. The TPROs will also support the strategic TPRM program and future state design. The role holder will work with their assigned partners to identify quick wins as well as longer term initiatives, facilitating risk management of the strategic and systemic third party supplier risks as they exist today. Additionally, they will drive efficient ways of working for the TPROs, ensuring integration with other TPRM and Procurement teams and coordinating transition from change to BAU.

Core responsibilities:

Support the team lead and the delivery of the function\xe2\x80\x99s objectives. Aligned to key departments and functions of LSEG, work alongside the risk teams in both 1st and 2nd line to identify, assess, handle, mitigate and report on third party risks. Develop partnerships and relationships within the supported department/function and support the TPRO team in handling key relationships across the organisation. Work with relevant Accountable Executives in helping them understand their responsibilities in relation to the TPRM Policy and Framework, and identify tactical solutions to meet them. Work closely with Relationship Owners to be responsible for third party arrangements and associated risks. Establish regular management meetings and supporting risk reporting to drive practical management of third party risks across the department/function. Work with other partners to ensure key steps are followed in the full lifecycle of third party engagements, including: supplier onboarding, segmentation, risk assessment, due diligence, the linkage to procurement to support RFP and selection, BCP and exit planning (for material / critical arrangements) prior to contracting. Ongoing monitoring / in-service management and exit and termination activities. Align TPRO practices with case managers, risk assessment team and category managers for efficiency and consistency of business engagement. Develop and maintain appropriate third party risk reporting templates, e.g. divisional/functional scorecards and critical vendor reports. Maintain the TPRM sharepoint site. Maintain internal team procedures and KODs.

Experience and skills required:

  • Experienced, operational or non-financial risk management professional who has worked within 1st or 2nd line of defence on the topic of third party risk management.
  • Demonstrable track record supporting third party risk management initiatives or similar operational risk management field.
  • Familiar with intermediate IT tools and Procurement systems, ability to develop and provide management information to assist sourcing contract and risk management process.
  • Ability to establish relationships, influence and deputise for other TPROs, engaging up to Executive level.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to cut through complexity, be pragmatic and get things done.
  • Problem-solving attitude and the ability to work in a team and take the initiative when the opportunity arises.
  • Educated to degree level, equivalent
Desirable
  • Professional accreditation in risk
  • Hands-on experience of core procurement processes, policies and systems in a global business
  • Experience of procurement in a Financial Services Regulated Environment, Information Services Companies; FinTechs; Global, multi-country organisations preferred
  • Knowledge of process and technology extending to Procure-to-PayValues and Behaviours
