Job Description

We are looking for an experienced band 6 Audiologist to join our experienced team of healthcare scientists. Our service is based in Windsor, and we also cover several sites across east Berkshire and staff regularly work at different sites during the week. Our core hours are 0800-1600 Monday-Friday. We see a range of complex adult and paediatric patients for audiological assessment and rehabilitation, as well as providing audiology support to our ENT colleagues.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, senior Healthcare Science practitioner AHCS registered with BSc in Audiology or in Medical Physics, Physiological Measurements and BAAT I and II.



You will carry out all routine aspects of diagnostic and rehabilitative paediatric and adult audiology, while also becoming involved in the most advanced techniques and procedures.



We are looking for a staff member who is either experienced in paediatric work, or who would like to develop this aspect of their practice, but who will also see adult patients.



You will communicate calmly, compassionately and effectively reassuring service users so they feel, valued, heard and understood.

The "must haves" for this role:



BSc in Audiology or Medical Physics/Physiological Measurements and BAAT I and II, and AHCS registration (or ready to register)



Demonstrable post-qualification experience of working with complex patients



An interest in both paediatric and adult audiology



Excellent communication skills
