As we continue to grow, we are seeking
an Automation Engineer with deep expertise in injection moulding
to lead technical projects, support new product development, and oversee continuous improvement and equipment maintenance within our moulding operations.
About the Role
As the
Engineer - Injection Moulding
, you will play a pivotal role in leading product development initiatives, improving production processes, and supporting the scale-up of new tools and technologies. Reporting directly to senior management, you will oversee a team of technicians and be responsible for the technical execution of injection moulding projects from concept to completion.
This role is ideal for a highly experienced engineer who combines technical depth in injection moulding with strong leadership skills and a passion for sustainability and innovation.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage injection moulding projects across the full product development lifecycle - from design and tooling through to production and process optimisation.
Design, test, and implement new mould tools in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address production or quality issues.
Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure manufacturability, efficiency, and sustainability of new and existing products.
Maintain technical documentation, project timelines, and performance metrics.
Implement and manage maintenance plans for all Injection Moulding Equipment, and manage inventory for parts
Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
About You
Experience:
10+ years of hands-on experience in electronics engineering, ideally with injection moulding expertise.
Leadership:
Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing engineering projects.
Product Development:
Strong background in new product development and tooling design.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
Skills:
Deep understanding of injection moulding machinery, tooling, and process optimisation.
Strong project management skills and ability to deliver on technical milestones.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
Effective communicator and team collaborator.
A proactive and self-driven mindset with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
