Job Summary:

As a Senior Azure Data Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data architectures on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to build robust data pipelines, ensure data quality, and deliver reliable data services that support advanced analytics and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable data architectures using Azure services. Implement and optimize ETL pipelines using

Azure Data Factory

,

Databricks

, and

Synapse Analytics

. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data needs and analytics initiatives. Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure optimal performance. Document data workflows, processes, and governance policies. Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical guidance. Transform raw data into actionable insights for business decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role. Proven experience with Azure data services including:

Azure Data Factory

Azure Synapse Analytics

Azure Databricks

Azure SQL Database

Azure Data Lake

Strong knowledge of

SQL

and

NoSQL

databases. Experience with

ETL processes

,

data integration

, and

data modeling

. Proficiency in

Python

or other scripting languages. Familiarity with

Power BI

for reporting and dashboarding. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with

data warehousing

and

performance tuning

. Knowledge of

data governance

compliance

(e.g., RBAC, encryption). Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent certification. Experience with
