Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations across 2 of our magical rooms at Ivy House Thames Ditton.

This is a senior role, where you will be managing a small team of practitioners, as well as 2 room leaders, so the ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. You will be in numbers within the room as this is not an office/admin role.

Duties

Supervise and support staff, ensuring high standards of childcare and safety are maintained Organise daily activities, routines and programmes in accordance with organisational policies and early childhood education principles Communicate effectively with team members and parents to coordinate care and address any concerns Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Assist with the planning and implementation of educational activities tailored to children's developmental needs Monitor children's behaviour, providing guidance and support to promote positive social interactions Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental progress Drive organisational initiatives to improve service quality and staff performance

Requirements

Minimum requirement of a Level 3 childcare/early years qualification is a must Proven management or leadership experience within nursery environments Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices Ability to lead a team effectively, demonstrating organisational skills and a proactive approach Passionate about child development and creating a safe, nurturing environment for young learners

Pay: 29,000.00-31,500.00 per year
