London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Company Description

Finding a home is one of life's most stressful experiences. We're changing that.

By combining computer vision and geospatial data, we empower millions of people to discover their perfect home--10x faster. Our team blends property expertise with AI and a deep respect for human decision-making. We've built the UK's first personalised property match-making engine, and now we're scaling globally.

Backed by Founders Factory, Second Century Ventures, and Cur8 Capital, we're growing fast--and we're just getting started.

What you'll be doing

We are a remote-first business.

We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help us turn long-range product vision into robust, scalable infrastructure. You'll work closely with our Lead Developer and collaborate across product, QA, and design to build high-impact features and shape our technical roadmap.

This is a deeply technical role with a strong social component. You'll spend ~90% of your time coding and ~10% in meetings. You'll mentor teammates, contribute to architectural decisions, and help us manage technical risk while keeping our codebase fresh and performant.

We're remote-first, and we care deeply about your growth. Expect plenty of opportunities to stretch your muscles in machine learning, geospatial data, and complex systems.

What you'll do

Care about maintenance. You worry about the person who'll inherit your code nine months from now--and you write accordingly. Build and optimise backend services supporting 7 API endpoints Wrangle large datasets for accuracy, robustness, and speed Collaborate with QA, product and design to deliver high-impact features Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (Heroku, Docker and GCP) Help shape a collaborative, mission-driven engineering culture Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
