We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our growing global team and contribute to our mission to improve our patients' health and their lives. This is a

for our office in London (UK).

What you will do

Develop scalable & reliable systems

Develop core functionality for our own customer-facing and internal products, systems and data platforms, and e-commerce capabilities using modern frameworks Develop extensible platforms and architectures that make it possible to quickly and efficiently launch new products and lines of business Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems Develop the APIs powering the web & mobile platforms for our product portfolio
Drive impact in a team environment

You'll work with other software engineers, designers, QAs, product managers, business stakeholders and domain experts You'll drive impact and own your work end-to-end - from scoping & planning, architectural design decisions, implementation and testing, to production deployment and operations.

What we need from you

Experience building web backends in Node.js/Typescript or a willingness to learn on the job Familiarity with scalable cloud architectures, design patterns and best practices Practical experience with CI/CD and IaC (Infrastructure-as-code) Experience with databases & data management practices - relational databases & search engines Experience with TDD and testable code - unit / integration / performance testing Great verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas in a simple way to non-engineering teammates Ability to zoom in and out - be comfortable with getting into the relevant low-level details while also making the optimal tradeoffs for achieving the "big picture" goals This is a hybrid role and you need to be based in Sofia (BG) so you can be in the office 3 days per week


Experience you may have

A degree in CS or equivalent is a plus Practical experience with building scalable & highly reliable cloud systems that support product used by millions of users around the world 24/7 Familiarity with modern JS frameworks Experience working in cross functional teams An eye for user behaviour and design and attention to detail
