Experienced Bakers

We are looking for a experienced artisan baker to join our small, dedicated team

We are a expanding business based in the ancient hill side town of Malmesbury. We have a well-established 17th century shop on the high street, where we also bake . The shop is always the focus of everything that we do in the bakery.

You will be working directly alongside the Head baker/owner

Salary

4 days per week, 38-45 hours

At least 2 of your 3 days off every week will be grouped together

Shifts typically run from 00:00 - 10:00

Key skills required from the experienced baker -

At least 3 years' experience in baking

A strong knowledge of sourdough, confectionery, fermentation, yeasted breads and pastry

A person who is honest and a pleasure to work with

Someone who has an extremely positive can do attitude

A quick worker, who can also work independently and effectively

Skills in the manufacturing of pastry would also be an advantage

We need someone who is always reliable.

Someone who can bring new ideas to the bakery

What You'll Be Doing:

o Produce high-quality, handcrafted bread and pastries using traditional methods.

o Mix, shape, proof, and bake dough to achieve excellent flavour and appearance.

o Maintain quality standards and meet production deadlines.

o Keep the bakery clean, safe, and organised, following all hygiene regulations.

o Manage ingredients, stock rotation, and inventory.

o Work closely with the team to meet targets and improve processes.

o Troubleshoot production or equipment issues

Pay: 14.00-18.00 per hour
