What you'll be doing
The senior bid manager will have accountability for leading the bidding process, ensuring workflow decisions align with the company's strategic goals.
The key duties include:Supporting the management of bid submissions and associated activity, ensuring compliant, timely, high quality proposals that have been through Priory's internal governance and review process
Managing the end to end bid process, including the identification, high level review, creation and submission of proposals for each Priory division
Ensuring written bids and tenders are of the highest quality, reflect both the values of the organisation and commissioner requirements
Responsibility for internal reporting to stakeholders around bid activity and outcomes
Updating the company CRM system (Salesforce) regularly to ensure accurate live reporting is available.
Responsible for day to day mentoring of junior team members
Responsible for ensuring commissioning portals are reviewed and monitored regularly for new opportunities and updates on live bidding outcomes.
Indirect leadership responsibilities in relation to the day to day workflow management of the team
Supporting commercial decision making and gathering insights from the business around market intelligence.
Shared responsibility for the confidentiality, security and accuracy of records, data and information. Ensuring good quality documentation, which meets the regulatory guidelines and statutory requirements.
Maintain a strong understanding of the group business activity including service lines offered by the organisational divisions.
Maintain knowledge of, and be able to communicate strategic decisions in relation to organisational development plans.
Deputising for the Head of Bids during periods of absence/leave, ensuring continuity of operations and effective management of the bids function.
What you'll bring to the role
Graduate level or equivalent and / or a proven successful track record in bid management, ideally within the social care and/or health care sector.
Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and multi-task.
Strong analytical skills and detail orientated.
Highly numerate, excellent oral and written skills.
High level of commercial awareness and experience of working collaboratively with senior management, credibly influencing at a senior level.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change, whilst maintaining a strong focus on commercial growth.
Ability to chair meetings at a senior level
Project management experience desirable
