Responsibilities:

Posting payments and receipts using Xero accounting software

Managing AP/AR ledgers

Setting up weekly supplier payments

Completing online quarterly VAT returns using Xero

Assisting with month-end accounts

Running month end payroll using Brightpay payroll software

Processing expense claims and supporting VAT/PAYE payments

Calculation of sales commissions

Checking project profitability

Reconciling accounts and preparing audit evidence

Requirements:

Previous experience in a finance or accounts role

Experience in using Xero accounting software required

Familiarity with AP/AR processes and ledger management

Working knowledge of VAT, PAYE and payroll processing

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Committed, self-disciplined and possessing good inter-personal skills

An interest in applying AI to the role wherever possible, and increasing efficiency in all tasks would be an advantage

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with 30 minutes for lunch.

Holiday entitlement is currently 20 days plus bank holidays each year.
