Role Overview:
As a Senior Bookkeeper at LHC Design, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of our company. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, while also providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making across the business. Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and present monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Develop and manage financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Provide financial analysis and insights to non-finance professionals, simplifying complex information.
Ensure compliance with legal and statutory financial regulations.
Maintain and enhance the use of Sage 50 (or equivalent) and other financial systems.
Assist with year-end procedures and liaise with external auditors.
Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification, with at least two years of post-qualified experience or relevant experience in a similar-sized organisation.
Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance professionals.
Strong organisational skills, confidence, and creative problem-solving abilities.
Thorough understanding of management accounting principles, with hands-on experience in planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Proficiency in Sage 50 financial software (or equivalent) and a solid grasp of accounting procedures.
Knowledge of legal and statutory matters related to financial management.
Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office Professional, with advanced proficiency in Excel spreadsheet modelling and presentation.
