About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Bookkeeper
to oversee financial operations for our growing group of businesses. You'll take ownership of monthly reporting, HMRC compliance, and payroll, while acting as a key liaison between directors, accountants, and external stakeholders. This is a hands-on role with strategic influence--perfect for a detail-oriented professional ready to elevate our finance function.
Key Responsibilities:

Produce Monthly P&Ls
- Prepare and analyse management accounts for group subsideries

Resolve and manager HMRC
- Lead VAT/PAYE investigations and negotiate payment plans for efficiencies

PAYE & Payroll
- Oversee RTI submissions, NICs, and payroll processing.

Team Leadership
- Train junior staff and streamline bookkeeping processes.

Stakeholder Management
- Advise directors, support accountants, and liaise with auditors/banks.
Essential Skills:
3+ years' bookkeeping experience (UK practice).
Expertise in
Xero/QuickBooks
(certification preferred).
Strong knowledge of
VAT, PAYE, and MTD compliance
.
Ability to present financial data to non-finance directors.
Proactive problem-solver with HMRC experience.
