We're adding to our

bookkeeping team

, an experienced bookkeeper who can use Xero, communicate with clients and offer a bespoke bookkeeping service, tailored to each client.

What are the hours and what will you earn?:

It's work - so let's face it, it's all about the money!

Working hours are between

8am to 6pm - Monday to Friday - you choose when you want to work

. You will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week within the working hours. You will be paid according to the hours logged on your time sheet.

Depending on experience, between 13.50 - 15.00 per hour

You will be entitled to 20 days a year holiday + all the bank holidays

The Perfect Candidate Will Tick The Boxes Below:

Ideally, AAT Qualified Bookkeeper, equivalent or higher, with at least 5 years practice experience. However, we will also consider applicants from industry and with no formal qualifications as long as they have a minimum of 6 years' experience. Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, Xero, Hubdoc, Outlook and CRM's Excellent verbal and written communication skills with accuracy and attention to detail Familiar with a remote working environment A 'get stuff done' attitude and ability to multi-task and take responsibility for workload Experience in bookkeeping and accounts for the plumbing and heating industry would be desirable Willingness to learn and engage in continuing professional development. Ability to adapt to new and emerging technology, such as AI. Knowledge of the construction industry/CIS Knowledge of VAT rates, especially those used for construction i.e. Domestic Reverse Charge. Knowledge of HMRC guidelines Knowledge of Xero (we are a Xero-only practice) You'll have read this job description and thought "OMG this is the job for me!!" Nature of the Job:

As a Virtual finance team member/bookkeeper at Together We Count you will be responsible for taking care of the bookkeeping needs of multiple clients at once as delegated by your line manager. We offer varying Virtual Finance Office packages to our clients, and we understand that each client is unique in their needs.

These packages range from weekly to quarterly accounting and may include an accounts@business.co.uk email address from which we manage all accountancy-related correspondence, such as liaising with suppliers and subcontractors on behalf of clients. Monitoring and using this accounts@ email for each client will form part of your role as well as the below.

Furthermore, a significant part of this role involves working closely with a large plumbing and heating client, dedicating 2-3 days or 16-24 hours per week to the bookkeeping and generating reports within strict deadlines, requiring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

Major Responsibilities:

Weekly payment runs Monthly payment runs Monthly CIS returns and all required compliance Weekly debtors reports Weekly / Monthly bookkeeping Quarterly and monthly VAT return preparation Purchase and sales ledger tasks Completion of management accounts by agreed date Other administration duties as required by TWC and clients Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients Growing the business through referrals Offer bespoke bookkeeping advice Strive to ensure the business is streamlined and spot efficiencies where possible Advise clients in relation to the VAT reverse charge, bookkeeping and any matters (as your experience allows) Support the team, and client managers, to continuously deliver the agreed level of service

The Nitty Gritty:

Remote Working

: Your position with us is remote, complimented by quarterly in-person gatherings (usually in the Midlands / Yorkshire area) to maintain our team's synergy and collaborative spirit. You can expect regular online meetings via Teams and help and support available from the team throughout the working day. You will be provided with a laptop and any other equipment necessary to do your job. You will need your own reliable internet connection. We're looking for someone who can be in-situ and ready to go ASAP.

Brand New Opportunity

Although the team here is 10 + strong, you'd be a

bookkeeper

focussed exclusively on bookkeeping tasks for our clients. But you're not on your own... you'll be a major player in both the accounting and bookkeeping teams - a tight-knit group with an average age in the early 30's (mid 30's if we're being honest with ourselves......) .
