to provide technical leadership and project management across multiple building-services projects. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge who can oversee design delivery, manage a team, and ensure projects are completed to the highest technical and quality standards.
You will lead the M&E team in producing detailed design drawings, schematics, and engineering calculations, while ensuring all work complies with UK engineering standards, CDM regulations, and our internal quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the Mechanical/Electrical team to deliver multiple projects on time and within budget.
Produce and check engineering drawings, schematics, and calculations using
AutoCAD/Revit
.
Ensure designs meet all relevant
British Standards
,
CDM regulations
, and internal quality requirements.
Coordinate M&E designs with other disciplines, maintaining an understanding of related engineering principles.
Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and design teams, responding to RFIs and technical queries promptly.
Monitor project progress, budgets, and workloads, to ensure high-quality output and client satisfaction.
Identify business development opportunities and promote our services across the industry.
Support and line-manage team members, providing feedback, mentoring, and performance monitoring.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current engineering legislation, sustainability standards, and industry best practices.
Contribute to our commitment to reducing carbon footprint and promoting sustainable design.
About You
Strong technical background in
mechanical and electrical building services design
.
Proficient in
AutoCAD
and
Revit
(experience with other design software advantageous).
Sound knowledge of UK building regulations, CDM, and relevant British Standards.
Excellent communication skills -- able to liaise confidently with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
