Senior Business Analyst Front Arena

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Overall Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Trading Technology Business Management team, with a focus on the Front Arena platform. This is a strategic role that combines deep product and system knowledge with strong project leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will act as the key liaison between Front Office stakeholders and our development teams, owning the process of turning business needs into actionable technology outcomes. The role is instrumental in driving platform enhancement, supporting front-to-back trading operations, and delivering strategic value through structured planning and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the primary business analyst for Front Arena, translating trading and operational requirements into well-defined technical specifications. Work directly with traders and other stakeholders to understand pain points, define desired outcomes, and validate proposed solutions. Lead requirement-gathering sessions and produce detailed, structured documentation for development and QA teams. Collaborate with middle and back-office teams to ensure system solutions address the full trade lifecycle and support cross-functional needs.

Project & Stakeholder Management

Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives across the Front Arena platform. Own the stakeholder engagement process: organising meetings, managing expectations, and communicating progress or challenges transparently. Define and manage project milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables in alignment with strategic business goals. Track progress using project management tools and ensure initiatives are executed on time and within scope.

Planning & Sprint Ownership

Own the planning of development cycles (every two weeks), balancing strategic priorities with short-term deliverables. Collect and prioritise input from key business stakeholders and make well-informed, strategic decisions about what work to undertake. Serve as the point of contact for development planning, ensuring each sprint is structured to deliver maximum impact and aligned with the firm's goals.

System Enhancement & Continuous Improvement

Support the development, configuration, and enhancement of Front Arena for front, middle, and back office users. Design and deliver solutions for P&L reporting, position management, and real-time risk. Drive continuous improvement by analysing system performance, proposing modifications, and implementing new capabilities. Recommend controls and process improvements, identifying issues early and managing change effectively.
