The role
As a Senior Business Architect. you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is a pivotal role drives excellence in high-stakes defence programmes, blending deep expertise with strategic collaboration across government, partners, and design innovators.
Day-to-day, you'll lead high-impact defence programmes with the MOD and industry partners--delivering excellence through expert leadership, technical insight, and collaborative design. Additionally, you will:
Analyse business processes, systems, and data to create architecture models through documentation review and SME engagement
Develop 'as-is' and 'to-be' architectures to inform solution design and transformation strategies
Work consultatively with internal leaders and MOD clients to define and communicate strategic direction
Apply systems thinking to develop user and system requirements, ensuring architectural alignment with technical teams
Collaborate across internal teams, partners, and suppliers, using proactive stakeholder engagement to drive successful delivery
This role is full time working 35 hours per week and requires regular travel across a range of sites on a weekly / monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Senior Business Architect:
Significant practical experience of the application of model driven architecture (framework agnostic) in support of business transformation.
Product ownership experience within an agile delivery framework within a highly regulated environment i.e Nuclear or similar
Previous demonstrable experience with Digital Manufacturing Systems, Product Lifecycle Management systems would be an advantage.
Able to guide and lead less experienced team members in model driven architecture.
Qualifications for the Senior Business Architect:
An education to degree level in an IT related discipline or proven working experience of complex system design

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
