This is a key role in the team, responsible for supporting practice and industry collaboration, growth and client engagement across the priority areas of Ashurst Advance and Risk Advisory - together the AAC Division - as they partner with the rest of the firm to approach these integrated opportunities and support our clients.
The individual will be a core part of the CMG team and will work closely with the AAC BD Manager and partner stakeholders to support the firm's growth strategy at the intersection of the firm's capabilities.
The position requires close collaboration across the Clients, Markets and Growth function to bring a comprehensive "whole of Firm" approach to our clients.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Support the successful delivery of the AAC strategy collaborating with counterparts in EMEA and APAC to ensure global connectivity and knowledge sharing.
• Work with the AAC team and cross-practice partners on the full suite of business development activities, prioritising opportunities for revenue growth in line with the firm's strategic plan.
• Utilise market and client insights to keep up to date with current and emerging issues impacting the industry.
• Identify areas of client need and opportunities for lead generation, with the goal of deepening our client relationships and market penetration.
• Support the entire opportunity pursuit process, including managing opportunity tracking processes, developing and maintaining collateral and coordinating partners and directors around pipelines and strategic pursuits (including go/no go).

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our London office with hybrid working. The role will report into the AAC BD Manager.

About you:
The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in professional services / industry business development environment or NewLaw / ALSP / legal technology sector.
• Demonstrated experience of managing projects, campaigns and/or initiatives - both independently and under guidance.
• Commercial awareness and an innovative mind-set for developing and evolving ways of working.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with the partnership and business services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively interact with peers and influence internal clients including senior stakeholders.
