Coffee Intelligence Business Development Executive (New Logo Hunter)



Location:

London (5 days office), 1 day WFH post probation

Global Coffee Institute (GCI)

from emerging leader to

category-defining standard

by:

Opening 100+ new accounts annually (focus: chains under 200 locations, green coffee startups, equipment innovators) Converting Allegra report buyers into full GCI subscribers Planting seeds in untapped markets (Africa specialty, Middle East franchising)

The Hunt - What You'll Actually Do



1. Lead Conversion (50%)

Own marketing-qualified leads: Event attendees from major coffee summits Report buyers showing intent (e.g., downloaded "Asia Pacific Market Trends") Free trial users of GCI platforms Run high-impact demos showcasing: Exclusive data unavailable elsewhere VIP event access through GCI membership Cost savings vs. piecemeal report purchases
2. Market Expansion (30%)

Target high-potential segments: Emerging coffee chains (5-100 locations) Green coffee importers expanding origins Equipment manufacturers launching new tech Develop regional expertise in: Middle East franchise growth African specialty coffee boom
3. Sales Intelligence (20%)

Provide real-time feedback on: Competitor movements Feature requests (e.g., "Need cold brew profitability benchmarks") Pricing sensitivities

Who We Need



Coffee-Obsessed Hustler Profile:



1-3 years in:

Coffee operations

(multi-unit manager, green buyer assistant) OR

Startup sales

(SaaS, market intelligence, commodity trading)
OR

Can talk: Extraction yields

and

sales quotas Coffee cherry prices

and

CRM pipeline

Deal With breakers (No Flexibility):

Fear of 100+ cold outreaches/week Generic "salesperson" vibe (we need coffee nerds who sell)

Dealbreakers:


Uncomfortable with 50+ outbound touches/week
Can't articulate why GCI beats buying single reports

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-40,000.00 per year
