Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, commercially astute

Senior Business Development Executive

to lead & drive new business growth .


This pivotal role focuses on identifying, developing & securing new client relationships across targeted sectors while strengthening the company's market presence & revenue pipeline.


As a senior figure within the team, you will be responsible for shaping & executing business development strategies, managing high-value opportunities from lead generation through to contract close & building strategic partnerships. You will work closely with internal teams (including Estimating, Sales, Operations & Senior Management) to develop value-driven proposals & represent HFL externally through events, client engagement & industry networking.


This role demands strong commercial acumen, a proactive & strategic approach to growth & exceptional relationship-building skills.



Key Responsibilities: -



New Business Generation: -



Identify & pursue new business opportunities in line with company growth targets, focusing on Facilities Management & M&E Maintenance services Develop a structured pipeline of qualified leads through research, networking, referrals & prospecting strategies

Strategic Sales & Relationship Management: -



Establish & nurture relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers & influencers across multiple sectors Act as a trusted advisor to potential clients, understanding their operational needs & positioning HFL's value proposition accordingly


Networking & Market Presence: -



Represent HFL at industry events, exhibitions & client meetings to raise brand awareness & build strategic partnerships o Build & maintain a strong professional network to stay informed of market trends, competitor activity & emerging opportunities


Proposal & Bid Leadership: -



Oversee the development of winning bids & commercial proposals, working collaboratively with the Estimating & Business Development Support team Present & pitch solutions persuasively to senior-level stakeholders & procurement teams


Strategic Planning & Reporting: -



Contribute to the company's commercial strategy, including market segmentation, targeting & service positioning Track business development metrics, report on performance & recommend actions to achieve sales goals


Collaboration & Mentorship: -



Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless onboarding & delivery of new contracts Mentor & guide junior business development team members, fostering a high-performance culture


Knowledge, Skills and Experiences





Experience: -



Minimum 5-7 years of proven success in business development, with experience in Facilities Management, M&E Maintenance or a related B2B services environment Demonstrated ability to win new business through strategic engagement & consultative sales techniques


Education: -



Degree-level education preferred (Business, Engineering, or related discipline); equivalent experience considered


Commercial & Strategic Acumen: -





Strong understanding of sales strategy, market positioning & value-based selling Able to assess complex client needs & develop tailored commercial solutions


Communication & Influence: -



Outstanding interpersonal, presentation & negotiation skills with the ability to build credibility quickly Skilled in engaging with senior decision-makers & influencing procurement processes


Networking & Industry Engagement: -



Confident representing the business externally at all levels, from operational site visits to board-level meetings & public events


Technical Knowledge (Desirable):-



Familiarity with M&E services, CAFM systems, compliance requirements & contract frameworks (e.g., TFM, PPM, reactive maintenance)


Digital Proficiency: -



Competent with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), Microsoft Office Suite & proposal software Act as a trusted advisor to potential clients, understanding their operational needs & positioning HFL's value proposition accordingly


Networking & Market Presence: -



Represent HFL at industry events, exhibitions & client meetings to raise brand awareness & build strategic partnerships Build & maintain a strong professional network to stay informed of market trends, competitor activity & emerging opportunities
