Roles & Responsibilities:
Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin\xe2\x80\x99s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Senior Business Partner to join our Commercial & Operational Excellence team. This role will be based at our London Cluster Office - County Hall office, and reports into the Development Director - Midway, on a permanent basis.


In the role of Business Partner: Commercial & Operational Excellence, your mission is to provide financial expertise and support to central teams, helping the operating business enhance commercial and operational performance. This role will collaborate with leaders in Commercial, Trade, Retail, Food, Revenue, and Continuous Improvement to improve Merlin\'s financial performance and Net Promoter Score (NPS).

You will also take ownership of the financial aspects of critical strategic projects across six essential business areas. Your financial oversight and strategic input will be vital in ensuring the success of these projects. Additionally, your role will require you to provide ad hoc analysis as needed to address the ever-evolving business requirements. This flexibility and ability to generate meaningful insights on short notice will be highly valuable.

The ideal candidate for this unique group-level role will be enthusiastic about driving commercial growth, improving NPS, and fostering business change. They will work closely with senior leaders and handle a wide range of tasks while paying attention to detail. This role requires the ability to balance day-to-day responsibilities with complex problem-solving and project work, with a proactive attitude towards overcoming challenges and driving business improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:

• Finance background, with considerable experience in Commercial & Operational Finance business partnering role(s)
• ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
• Ability to collate datasets via desktop research and collate and analyst datasets, financial and non-financial. Experience in financial modelling and investment appraisal
• Fast learner and a willing attitude to learn new ways to solve problems
• Effective presentation building and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport and relationships with internal stakeholders, with a desire to be part of a team
• Previous experience within theme parks/retail/hospitality or any other multi-site business would be highly desirable but not essential
• Strong quantitative, data analytical skills and methodical critical reasoning skills
• Fast learner and a willing attitude to learn new things, from new concepts, new industry, new skills, new ways to solve problems, to new ways to conduct analyses
• Experience in Travel & Leisure, including an understanding of commercial levers that drive growth is desirable but not essential
• Experience of working with multiple senior leaders, and presenting to the Executive would also benefit you, although isn\'t necessary
