The Senior Business Systems Analyst is the strategic owner of the organization's ERP and related business systems, ensuring stability, data integrity, integrations, and alignment with IT standards. This role is responsible for developing and executing the long-term applications strategy, driving system optimization, and ensuring data integrity and reporting effectiveness across the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ERP System Management:
Oversee the overall health and performance of the ERP system.
Own ERP system configuration, permissions, and environment management, including advanced issue diagnosis and coordination of resolution with IT and vendors.
Monitor system performance and data integrity, identifying systemic issues and root causes.
Provide expert guidance on best practices for using and leveraging the ERP system.
Business Analysis:
Analyze ERP system data to support system optimization, reporting accuracy, and data integrity, partnering with functional leaders through structured requirements intake.
Review business processes and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
Own and document system processes, workflows, and training materials.
Assist the business with the analysis of inventory levels and other ERP-related functions.
Technical Systems Ownership:
Configure and maintain ERP modules, workflows, and automation.
Manage system integrations between ERP and third-party systems.
Partner with IT on system security, access controls, and compliance requirements.
Support ERP-related audits and data governance standards.
Project Management:
Serve as ERP technical lead for system implementations, upgrades, and module deployments, owning system readiness, testing strategy, and post-deployment stabilization.
Create role-based system usage documentation to support consistent adoption (training delivery is handled separately).
Develop and maintain ERP technical documentation, configuration guides, and system standards.
Training:
Develop standardized system documentation, role-based guidance, and process standards to support consistent ERP usage across the organization.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for IT/ERP-related issues.
Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to resolve complex problems efficiently.
Assist with data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
Continuous Improvement and IT Strategy:
Identify opportunities to improve system scalability, performance, and automation.
Contribute to the IT applications roadmap and IT systems strategy.
Performs other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency in business analysis techniques and methodologies
A strong understanding of various ERP systems (like Visual, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and their modules (including finance, supply chain, and HR) is essential; knowledge of Infor Visual is a bonus
Familiarity with SQL, and experience with Power BI reporting
Strong project management skills

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems, is required.
5+ years of experience in technical business systems or IT-aligned role.
Proven ability to lead projects, define business requirements, and deliver actionable insights.
Experience managing ERP systems and different modules.
Experience partnering with IT, vendors, and external consultants in integrations, data governance, or compliance environments.
* Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations environment, preferred.
