Power Transmission & Distribution Business Unit

, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering the

SSE ASTI Framework

, supporting the

Overhead Line (OHL)

side of the business.



This is your chance to lead complex procurement strategies that drive real-world impact--from securing the UK's energy future to advancing net zero ambitions. You'll be part of a dynamic team working on a transformative portfolio of projects across Scotland, with occasional travel to our OHL sites.

What you'll be doing

Lead strategic procurement for high-impact projects. Mentor and develop Buyers and Junior Buyers. Manage procurement strategies and schedules for Scotland's OHL business. Drive supplier negotiations, evaluations, and risk management. Collaborate across teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Build performance-led supplier relationships focused on value, quality, and innovation.

Who we're looking for

Proven procurement experience in Utilities or Construction. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Expertise in NEC Subcontract and commercial processes. Sharp negotiation skills and commercial acumen. MCIPS qualification or a desire to pursue it is a plus
