Senior Capital Allowances Analyst

Solihull, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Let's get this out of the way.

Yes, it's tax.No, it's not boring here. And no, you won't be stuck quietly fixing other people's spreadsheets forever.

We're CapEx Associates Tax. We specialise in capital allowances. We save clients a lot of money. We're good at what we do. And we're growing. Which means we need a Senior Capital Allowances Analyst who knows their stuff.

If you're technically strong, commercially aware, and ready to step into a bigger role... this is it.

The role

You'll take ownership of capital allowances projects end-to-end. You'll be trusted with complex cases, client-facing work, and helping junior analysts develop their skills. This is not a sit-quietly-and-do-what-you're-told role.

You'll be out on site visits, reviewing construction data, producing high-quality claims, and working closely with accountants and senior stakeholders.

If you already manage people, brilliant. If not, you'll be expected to want to. This role naturally grows into leadership and we're honest about that upfront. We're not saying you'll be the next King or Queen of England, but the head honcho of capital allowances role could very much be up for grabs.

What you'll actually be doing (no fluff)

You'll be trusted. With real work. Proper responsibility.

Leading the delivery of capital allowances claims from start to finish Attending and leading site inspections on commercial properties Reviewing drawings, cost data, invoices and asset schedules Applying legislation and HMRC guidance with confidence (without panic-Googling)o Producing and reviewing technical reports to a high standard Acting as a technical point of reference for junior analysts Supporting training, mentoring and quality control Working with directors on process improvement and team growth

Who this role is for

You're confident in your work, comfortable explaining technical points, and ready to take more responsibility.
