We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality care to our senior residents in a care home setting. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for residents, ensuring they meet their specific needs and preferences.
Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance and training as necessary to maintain high standards of care.
Foster a positive environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as required.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care and staff performance.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as organisational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a senior care environment is essential.
Strong understanding of senior care practices, including the development of individualised care plans.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on empathy and active listening.
Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software. .
