Balloo House Care Home are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly team.
The main duties include:
*Leading and organising residents medical needs.
*Keywork and manage residents care demonstrating effective person centred practice.
*Support and motivate staff, delegating tasks and manage staff effectively.
*Creating planning and organising care plans.
*Liaising with multi disciplinary teams on behalf of the resident.
*Working with families, NOK and building strong working relationships.
Previous experience in a care setting is essential.
Strong leadership skills to guide care staff effectively
Excellent communication skills to interact with residents and colleagues and members of the multi disciplinary team.
Knowledge of RQIA care practices and procedures.
Willing to work towards a level 3 health and social care qualification.
Minimum six months experience as a senior/team leader in a care setting (desirable but not essential, we welcome applicants with a managerial background in other sectors.)* Is competent in administering medication and aware of the importance on current medication policies and correct procedures.
Staff training and development opportunity including completion of the level 5 leadership and management in health and social care.
