We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in a residential care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for Senior Care, ensuring that each resident receives the support they need to maintain their dignity and quality of life. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supervising care staff, implementing care plans, and fostering a nurturing environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Safely manage and administer medication in line with best practice. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in senior care. Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the care home environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a senior care role or similar position is essential. Proven ability to communicate effectively with both residents and colleagues. Experience in leading a shift is desirable. Familiarity with paperwork systems for maintaining care records is an advantage. A genuine passion for working with elderly individuals and enhancing their quality of life is crucial.
