We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to elderly residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with residents to assist with daily activities, promote independence, and enhance their quality of life. Your leadership skills will be vital in supervising junior staff and contributing to the development of care plans tailored to individual needs.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support residents in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences.
Supervise junior care staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement and review care plans.
Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
Proven experience in senior care or a similar role is essential.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
IT proficiency for maintaining records and using care management software.
Leadership abilities to supervise staff and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs is advantageous.
