We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care to residents in a supportive environment. As a vital member of our caregiving staff, you will play a key role in assisting residents with daily activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort and safety. Duties
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report changes to healthcare professionals
Administer medications accurately in line with prescribed directives
Assist residents with eating and drinking as needed; ensure dietary needs are followed
Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, resident progress, and any incidents in compliance with regulatory standards
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement personalised care plans tailored to each resident's needs
Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being
Contribute to the induction and mentoring of new and junior staff
Skills
Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings with a focus on elderly or long-term care
Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
Skilled in medication administration following prescribed directives
Experience working with individuals with age related disabilities is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments
