Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to elderly residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the well-being of our residents. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for senior care, and the ability to communicate effectively with both residents and their families.

Responsibilities



Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management. Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Supervise junior staff members and provide guidance as needed. Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in health or behaviour. Foster a warm and welcoming environment for residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.

Skills



Proven experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred. NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care Strong leadership abilities to supervise and motivate team members. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues. Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs. Ability to drive safely and responsibly when transporting residents. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes. A compassionate approach towards elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and understanding. Must be a

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.80-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
