We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at a reputable care home. Duties
Supervise and support junior care staff, ensuring the delivery of compassionate and professional care at all times
Assist residents with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families
Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, recognising changes that may require medical attention
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in accordance with regulatory standards
Foster a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Facilitate social activities and engagement programmes to promote residents' mental and emotional wellbeing
Support with medication administration as per training and regulatory guidelines
Drive company vehicles when required for appointments or outings (driving licence preferred)
Requirements
Proven experience working within a care home setting specialising in senior care
Supervising experience or demonstrated leadership skills within a healthcare environment
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and team members
Knowledge of care plans, regulatory standards, and best practices in elderly care
IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and documentation
Driving licence is desirable for supporting resident outings or appointments
Compassionate nature with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative when necessary
