We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our reputable care home. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of Care Assistants, ensuring high-quality care delivery
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management
Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with regulatory standards
Support residents' emotional wellbeing and promote independence
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home setting
Contribute to staff training programmes and provide mentorship to junior team members
Organise and supervise activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation
Requirements
Proven experience in senior care or supervisory roles within a care home environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
IT proficiency for maintaining accurate records and documentation
Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in senior care and wellbeing
Ability to work flexibly across shifts as required by the role
