Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. You will be responsible for supporting individuals with their daily activities while promoting their independence and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a background in senior care, and the ability to lead and supervise junior staff.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure the highest standard of care. Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety at all times. Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a senior care role is essential, preferably within a care home environment. Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising or mentoring staff members. Proficient IT skills for maintaining documentation and communicating effectively within the team. A genuine passion for providing compassionate care to elderly individuals is crucial. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team while also being able to work independently when required.
