Job Overview


As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and support to clients in the community, in their own homes. You will be responsible for mentoring new staff and ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities



Supervise and support new care staff in their daily duties, ensuring adherence to care plans. Assist clients when picking up care calls with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support. Develop and maintain individual care plans and risk assesements in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members. Conduct initial assessments with new clients using Birdie. Communicate effectively with clients and their families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care. Monitor clients health and wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns to senior management. Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care practices. Maintain accurate records of our clients care using Birdie as required. Conduct spot checks and other competency's in the community with our carers

Requirements



Previous experience in a senior care role or similar position is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with Clientsand staff. Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately. A genuine passion for providing high-quality senior care. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the care home environment. Must have experience with writing care plans and risk assessments. On call duties.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 13.00-14.50 per hour
