About the Role:



As a Senior Care Assistant, you will oversee and support care workers, care assistants, and domiciliary carers, ensuring high-quality care is delivered at all times. You will attend to the personal needs of clients within their own homes, residential settings, or day care establishments and act as a key support figure for both clients and staff.

Entry / Key Requirements:



Minimum 6 months experience working as a Senior Carer Studying or willing to study towards NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care Strong IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, rota planning systems) Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Excellent communication skills with a pleasant, organised, and adaptable attitude Strong problem-solving abilities, remaining respectful and professional at all times Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Main Duties & Responsibilities:



Oversee and monitor care workers and domiciliary carers Manage medication tasks including ordering, collecting, and implementation Assist with staff training, shadowing, and buddying systems Take responsibility for shifts and care delivery, ensuring care plans are followed Respond to emergencies and provide guidance to care staff Support clients with personal care, dressing, toileting, showering, and daily living activities Serve meals and assist clients during mealtimes Promote engagement in meaningful activities Support with light cleaning, meal preparation, and daily tasks Monitor and record client health indicators (temperature, weight, blood pressure) Liaise with professional staff and contribute to care plans Represent Impressions Care professionally and support the Registered Care Manager in maintaining compliance with CQC and local authority standards Participate in the Out of Hours On-Call rota when required Provide cover for other care staff during unforeseen circumstances
