We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents, and the ability to work collaboratively with both staff and residents. This role involves supervising care staff, developing care plans, and ensuring that all residents receive the highest standard of care.
Responsibilities
Lead and support care assistants during shifts, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred care.
Administer medication and maintain accurate records in line with company and regulatory standards.
Support and mentor team members, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
Ensure care documentation and risk assessments are completed and up to date.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Promote residents' independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Requirements
Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification (Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards it).
Previous experience in a senior care or team leader role within a care setting.
Confident in medication administration and care planning.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional care.
