Position: Senior Domiciliary Care Worker

Location: Carlisle Office Based covering postcodes of CA1 to CA12

Salary: 29,000 + On Call Enhancement

Job Type: Full-Time/Permanent

Hours: 30 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities 1 in 4 weeks

We pride ourselves on our compassionate and professional approach, and we are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Domiciliary Care Worker to join our team, offering both community and office-based support.

As a Senior Domiciliary Care Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and support to our clients. This role involves a combination of community-based care and office duties, with on-call responsibilities one week out of every four, and covering holiday and sickness periods. Your main duties will include:

Training & Shadowing within the community setting.
oProviding personal care and support to clients in their homes, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.

oAdministering medication as prescribed and monitoring clients' health and well-being.

oOffering emotional support and companionship to clients.

oSupervising and supporting junior care workers, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

oConducting client assessments and developing personalized care plans.

oLiaising with healthcare professionals, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated care.

oParticipating in the on-call rota, providing support outside of regular hours one week in every four.

oCovering shifts during staff holidays and sickness periods to ensure continuous care delivery.

oUndertaking office-based duties, such as scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting.

oEnsuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.

Requirements:



oPrevious experience in domiciliary care or a similar role.

oRelevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

oStrong understanding of care standards and regulations.

oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.

oAbility to lead and motivate a team.

oCompassionate, patient, and reliable.

oFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings, with on-call duties.

oValid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

oProficiency in basic office software and administrative tasks.
