We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistants for day shift to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Job Overview:
(In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required)
- To provide leadership to the care staff within the home.
- To provide care in accordance with current best practice, to the organisation's policy, procedures and agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations, under the direction of the Home / Deputy Manager.
- To supervise care delivery in accordance with agreed standards.
- To maintain appropriate care skills, including undertaking training and development which may, from time-to-time, be required.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Carer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensuring residents are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences are met to enhance their wellbeing
- Supervising the care team to ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service
- Promoting and protecting the welfare of residents at all times
- Providing a high standard of care to residents by promoting independence and choice
- Administering prescribed medication in line with competency and training
- Maintaining accurate, timely and up-to-date records for all residents
- Developing effective working relationships with other colleagues at the home
- Providing leadership to the care team, including regular supervision for identified team members
- Working in cooperation with members of multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents
- If desired by the resident, support them to maintain and develop relationships with family, friends and other important people in their lives.
Personal and Professional Development:
- Working within the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Code of Professional Conduct
- Having knowledge of, and adhering to, the established guidelines and regulations that define the quality of care delivery in the social care sector.
- Holding or obtaining a relevant qualification, as required for the role.
- Completing mandatory training and any other training, as directed by the Home Manager

Licence/Certification:
PVG (required)
SVQ Level 3 or working towards (required)
