Senior Health Care Assistant

Belvedere Care Homes is a nationwide care provider providing residential care and accommodation to a wide range of individuals including older people, people with mental health needs, learning and physical disabilities.

We currently have vacancies available for a caring, reliable and flexible Senior Healthcare Assistant to support the care team in providing all levels of support and personal care as detailed in each individuals support plan. We have permanent contracts available for day shifts. Weekend working is required on a rota basis.

Main Duties;



:Ensure Residents are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing

:To ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service and supervise staff. To have one to one discussion with staff where concerns and issues are raised to support the home manager.

:Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support

: To share the on-call duties with the other senior care team, so there is effective leadership over a 7 day period.

: Medications management duties.

: To ensure that care plans and risk assessments are reviewed minimum monthly or sooner where changes have been identified and that this is documented accordingly via digital care management systems and 24-hour handover reports in place.

Working with Others:


: Develop effective working relationships with other employees within Belvedere Care Homes Ltd and to be a support network where it is identified.
: Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximize opportunities for Residents

Leading by Example:


: Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
: To lead by example to other members of the care team. This includes good time management.
: Where the manager may be absent, to deputize in their position. This will be as per on call basis with the other senior care team.
: To ensure that handover reports are complete and that any requests are followed up in an appropriate timescale.

Personal Responsibilities:


: Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by the management

The desired applicant will either have or be willing to work towards their Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
