We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team within a reputable care home. The Senior Care Assistant will be responsible for supervising care staff, implementing personalised care plans, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional care standards. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support care staff to ensure the delivery of compassionate, person-centred care
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and medication management
Develop, review, and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly
Lead by example in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and dignity within the care environment
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members to foster professional development
Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for care records and communication purposes
Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to ensure cohesive care delivery
Support with organising activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation
Qualifications
Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within a care home or senior care setting
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and regulatory standards in elderly care
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in IT systems related to healthcare documentation and communication tools
Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation responsibilities
