Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to promote collaborative care. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge within the senior care sector. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.

Skills

Proven experience in senior care or within a care home setting is essential. Strong leadership abilities with prior supervising experience preferred. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues. Familiarity with developing care plans that address individual needs. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation accurately. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary. A compassionate approach towards elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and empathy at all times.
